more on that later... have you ever wondered about Superman's suit in "Superman Returns"? Spoilers ahead:... If my comic book history serves, Supes' suit is made from kryptoniam material, making it nigh indestructible. In the film, it deflects bullets, survives lava, and doesn't even wrinkle during unprotected re-entry. Yet it can be cut with a crystal, and it takes a doctor only half a second to strip him nekkid. Unless an insanely aroused Lois Lane was working in the emergency room how does that work?

It's difficult trying to explain roleplaying games to people who don't play them... you can say.. "roleplaying games are like Dungeons and Dragons... " But that doesn't cover even half of the roleplaying games out there! Try explaining completely different worlds to another person... Dungeons and Dragons is a gameplay system you can play many types of DnD games on different worlds.. ie. Forgotten Realms (Faerun) or Eberron.. etc... DnD is just the posterboy of Roleplaying games... though I've found it a bit clunky with too much ROLL-playing as opposed to ROLE-playing. Other systems which use dice less frequently and rely on more creative playing of your characters are more appealing to me.
